a note on hand dyed yarn and fiber
a note on hand dyed yarn and fiber
All yarn is hand dyed with moxie with professional, heavy metal-free, acid dyes and fully exhausted before rising. It is not unusual for light bleeding to occur on first wash, especially in highly saturated areas on the skein. This photo is an example of the colorway you will receive. I always use the same recipes when replicating my colorways, but due to the nature of hand dyeing and the magic of speckles, the appearance of colorways and saturation can vary, even within the same dye batch, or across different bases. This only adds to the beauty and uniqueness of our yarn. We love it this way and hope you do too! :) If you are using more than one skein of a colorway for a project, I recommend alternating every two rows to best blend your skeins together. We do our best to photograph each listing as accurately as possible but please refer to the description of the colorway to be sure you're seeing what we're seeing, ya dig?
